Flea Life Cycle
There are four major stages of a flea’s life cycle.
- A flea begins as an egg that is laid by its mother.
- It then turns into larva.
- Which then turns into the Pupa stage.
- And finally the adult stage.
In order for the fleas to continue to reproduce, they must have a steady blood supply. This is vital to the survival of a flea.
If a flea is successful at attaching itself to your dog, then you are most likely to have fleas enter into your home.
Once a flea sucks some blood out of your dog, it will lay eggs onto your dog.
Once your dog enters into your home and lies down, the flea and its eggs will drop onto your carpet, and then those fleas will soon begin searching for a host to feed on.
