What Pests Are Common In McMinnville?
Surrounded by farmland, forest, and rolling vineyards, McMinnville is a beautiful place to live, but these same features make it a haven for pests. The most common offenders we treat in the area include:
- Ants: Odorous house ants, pavement ants, carpenter ants, and moisture ants are all common in McMinnville. Most species prefer to nest outdoors but may enter kitchens or bathrooms in search of food and water. Carpenter ants, however, nest in damp wood, which can damage older homes.
- Rodents: House mice, rats, and field mice can become a problem around farms, vineyards, garages, and sheds.
- Spiders: House spiders, cellar spiders, giant house spiders, hobo spiders, orb-weavers, and yellow sac spiders are commonly found around basements, garages, sheds, and crawl spaces.
- Wasps: Yellow jackets, paper wasps, bald-faced hornets, and mud daubers nest around patios, barns, sheds, rooflines, trees, shrubs, and outdoor dining spaces.
Frequently Asked Questions
Croach® uses Integrated Pest Management (IPM), an environmentally friendly method of pest control. This approach focuses on prevention and exclusion, only using a minimal amount of chemicals when necessary. The chemicals we use are safe for people and pets. If our technicians do use chemicals during treatment, we’ll list each product in your quote to keep you fully informed.
IPM is safer for families and the environment while providing long-term, effective pest control. Just another way Croach® protects your home and enhances your life.
The technicians at Croach® Pest Control utilize the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) method to ensure your home remains pest-free. Unlike traditional extermination, IPM is a proactive approach to prevent pests from entering your home before infestations become a problem.
- During our visits, our technicians will:
- Inspect your property for any signs of pest activity and potential entry points.
- Take preventative exclusion measures, like sealing cracks, gaps, and other entry points, or advise on landscaping or storage changes you may need to make.
- Apply targeted treatments around the exterior and interior of your home. These treatments are safe for your family and pets.
- Prevent seasonal pests and break pest reproduction cycles through ongoing treatments and monitoring.
- Keep you informed every step of the way by providing tips on maintaining a pest-free environment between visits.
